  • Artist’s Statement

I was born in 1947 in Estonia. I decided to become an artist at the age of four. At the age of thirteen I started to learn the basics of academic drawing. At 18 I taught drawing and painting in high school. After studying at the Estonian Academy of Fine Arts, I became a glass designer and industrial designer with a wide range of skills. I worked for more than 10 years as an industrial designer in a glass factory. Currently I am working on methods to teach drawing and watercolour techniques to beginners from the very beginning. This method is well suited for both face-to-face and distance learning. I am pleased with the success of my students.
