Marina Azizyan
Biography
Azizyan Marina Tsolakovna (born 1938) is a St. Petersburg set designer, painter, and graphic artist.
Graduated from the theater production department of the Leningrad State Institute of Theater, Music and Cinematography named after. N.K. Cherkasov (class of N.P. Akimov). Worked with N.P. Akimov at the Leningrad Comedy Theater. As a production designer, she collaborated with the best domestic screenwriters, directors, and choreographers. She designed dozens of dramatic, ballet and opera performances in Russian theaters (SABT, Leningrad State Academic Drama Theater named after A.S. Pushkin (now Alexandrinsky), Leningrad State Theater for Young Spectators named after A.A. Bryantsev, Moscow Youth Theater, St. Petersburg Academic Drama Theater Theater named after V.F. Komissarzhevskaya, Novosibirsk State Theater of Musical Comedy, Perm Opera and Ballet Theater named after P.I. Tchaikovsky, etc.).
Laureate of the Highest Theater Award of St. Petersburg “Golden Soffit”.
Since 1959 he has participated in exhibitions in Russia and abroad; in 1994–2012 About fifteen personal exhibitions of the artist took place.
The works are kept in Russian museums and private collections.
