Artist’s Statement

Born in Petrozavodsk in 1956. Graduated from Lahdenpohja Secondary School in Karelia. Worked as a truck driver, served in the army. Graduated from the Institute of Geodesy, Atmospheric Research and Cartography in Moscow. Worked as a hydrographer in Murmansk. After moving to Finland, I have been working as a geodesist at the technical bureau in Imatra since 2000. Since 2005 I have been making sculptures out of wood.
